Reporting the specific post or comment that the report abuse is tied to is the best way to let us know about abuse of the report system.
To report abuse of the report system:
- Visit https://www.reddit.com/report.
- Select I want to report spam or abuse, then select This is abusive or harassing.
- When asked to explain how it’s abusive, select It's abusing the report button.
- From there you’ll be asked to include a link to the comment or post that the report abuse took place on and submit your report.
You can also stop people from writing custom messages in their reports, by visiting the Safety and Privacy section of Community settings and clicking Settings for old site. Then, scroll down to the other options section, deselect allow free-form reports by users, and click save options.
