Currently, you can only delete chat messages that you’ve sent and not the ones you’ve received. Deleting a chat message means that it will no longer be visible for anyone in the chat, not just yourself.
The process for deleting a chat message is slightly different depending on what platform you’re on.
- On the web, hover over the message you want to delete, then click the trash icon.
- On the iOS and Android app, press and hold a message that you sent and select Delete message.
If you think a chat message may violate Reddit’s Content Policy, report it.
